Dreaming In A Cotton Field

Have you ever been to a cotton field?Think about a cotton field now or find a photograph of it.Then find out everything just by looking deeply
I've found a photo and saw a lot of things in "a small paper".there is a girl, picking up cotton and a man, looking at her. They are dressed as a villager.this is not shocking because they're working in a field. The girl has headscarf on her head to be protected from sun. It's a kind of small, old and colourless scarf.I think that's why she is working.she need money to buy new things.May be for her "ceyiz".she is dreaming about something emotional. However most of workers who works in a field do their job by singing or dreaming.but the man with beard and moustache is looking at her with anger in his eyes.he is not picking up cotton but only looking at her as he'll shout at her a few minutes later.Ithink, she doesn't see him as she is dreaming. However she doesn't stop picking up cotton. Her hands are not as soft as a girl's hand who has pencil on hand.her dry-skinned hand is full with cotton. She does'nt care about that because she is working everyday. Also she is working under the burning sunlight.
In conclusion,we should learn what these kind of people dream about or what were their dreams when they were a small child?I think they didn't dream about being a worker in a field...

Thanks To Bayrams

Come to us for bayram and see how we celebrate this traditional and religious day.On these days we come together with relatives and friends. We do lots of things to empower relations and to have fun.

On the first day of a bayram,we get up early. We wear the clothes which we bought days( may be weeks) ago.Especially for children clothes are really important, they sleep with them, the night before.

Then, men go to bayram "namaz".after the namaz they celebrate each other`s bayram in mosque.while men are doing that women prepare a big breakfast.Everything is done with happiness. When father comes from namaz, children kiss hands and take sweets or money. After the breakfast we go to visit our relatives and neighbours, but be careful, older people are firt to visit. It's a tradition that we visit them, kiss their hands and chat with them, during this visiting, they pray for us.

In addition,we visit our friens and neighbours.while celebrating their bayrams,we eat our dessert.Yes,serving dessert is a tradition, too.Especially, our traditional dessert "baklava" is served.Wherever you go,you have to eat the delicious, big, traditional Turkish baklava. Also people say " Let's eat sweet, talk sweet ".This is a very brilliant and true saying. While, people are celebrating bayrams, they communicate with each other, they keep in touch and they empower their relations.Even the people who are cross with each other, they get to speak again.I mean bayrams bring peace.

On the night of a bayram, people go to places which have an organization of an entertainment for bayram. For example "Karagoz and Hacivat" plays.Or families and relatives go to lunapark together, for their children. While children are enjoying, they have a talk, mostly about old bayrams.

In conclusion bayrams are our most important traditions.Because we keep the touch via bayrams. Thanks to bayram days we have lots of relations and entertainment.Come and have entertainment with us.You won't regret...

My favourite Family Tradition

Every year on the 25th of december I and my family celebrate christmas. I love christmas day because from the beginning of the day to the end it is a fun celebration and the whole day is filled with happiness.
On christmas day my little sister and I wake up early in the morning to open our beautifully wrapped presents under the huge, green christmas tree. We also look into our long, red stockings that hang onto the large, marble fireplace for more little presents.
After excitingly opening my lovely gifts I change into my new clothes and join the rest of the family for a tasty, big, english breakfast with bacon, eggs, sausage and beans. Then i usually help my mum wash up the dirty dishes and we all get ready to celebrate christmas with my aunties, uncles and cousins at my grandmothers big, old house.
When we get to my grandmothers house we exchange more gifts and we play fun games, like twister, which is a good laugh. We also put on christmas songs and dance madly with everyone. After the fun and games we all sit down at a long, brown, wooden, dining table and we tuck into a delicous christmas dinner. While eating at the table everyone pulls a cracker with the person sitting next to them and if im lucky I sometimes get the surprise gift inside the cracker.
When everyones full we all help clean the table and settle our stomaches for a bit before dessert. While we sit down to relax we show eachother what presents we got for christmas and sometimes i get really impatient and I try on my new clothes and shoes at my grandmothers house to see what they look like on me. After about an 45 minutes of relaxing my grandfather brings out a scrumptious, fat, chocolate log and we all get a slice each and dig in. As it gets late everyone starts going home and we all say goodnight and leave my grandmothers house.
When my family and I get home we watch a funny movie and after that we all go to bed and think about how wonderful the day has been.
Even though I am getting a bit old for christmas now it is still the best time of the year for me and I enjoy every moment of it.

HOW IS LIVED A TRADITION IN MY CULTURE

Every culture has specific traditions. According to the people, these traditions are very important. Because, these reflect individuality of people and show the features of culture. So that; when you go to a foreign country, you’ll suddenly notice their traditions. For instance, their food, their wedding ceremony and their festival are different from your culture. In addition to that, in my culture one of the most important traditions is Bayram. It is experienced so specially by everyone.
Firstly, everyone wakes up early on Bayram day. Then they get dressed. Especially, they buy special clothes for Bayram. Then men of family go to the mosque for Bayram prayer. When they came back, children kiss their parent’s hands. After that all member of family have great breakfast. Especially, if you have a crowded family, you have good time. Because, everyone is joyful on this day. So everyone shows more interest to each other than other days. Finally, relatives and neighbors are visited by younger people. Young kisses their hands and older offers the chocolate or candy to them. Generally, the visits last short time because of lots of visits. Bayram continues for three days. And three days are enjoyed with all their details and happiness.
Bayram reflects our own richness. The fact that Bayram’s details are very important for us. For example; wake up early, go to Bayram prayer, kiss hands, visit the older… These are features of Bayram. I hope that our traditions don’t come to an end. So, next generation should pass this tradition to the other generations.
