HOW IS LIVED A TRADITION IN MY CULTURE

Every culture has specific traditions. According to the people, these traditions are very important. Because, these reflect individuality of people and show the features of culture. So that; when you go to a foreign country, you’ll suddenly notice their traditions. For instance, their food, their wedding ceremony and their festival are different from your culture. In addition to that, in my culture one of the most important traditions is Bayram. It is experienced so specially by everyone.
Firstly, everyone wakes up early on Bayram day. Then they get dressed. Especially, they buy special clothes for Bayram. Then men of family go to the mosque for Bayram prayer. When they came back, children kiss their parent’s hands. After that all member of family have great breakfast. Especially, if you have a crowded family, you have good time. Because, everyone is joyful on this day. So everyone shows more interest to each other than other days. Finally, relatives and neighbors are visited by younger people. Young kisses their hands and older offers the chocolate or candy to them. Generally, the visits last short time because of lots of visits. Bayram continues for three days. And three days are enjoyed with all their details and happiness.
Bayram reflects our own richness. The fact that Bayram’s details are very important for us. For example; wake up early, go to Bayram prayer, kiss hands, visit the older… These are features of Bayram. I hope that our traditions don’t come to an end. So, next generation should pass this tradition to the other generations.
